About

Canada, the second-largest country in the world, is located in North America. Canada has one of the highest latitudes on Earth, which leads to most of the country being cold and snowy, especially during the winter. Due to this, a lot of the country is inhabitable with most of its population living down the south near the border to the USA. Canada is known worldwide for its moose, maple syrup and ice hockey. It is a very diverse country with people from all different backgrounds calling Canada their home. Three of its major cities are Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The capital is Ottawa.

Although the majority of Canadians speak English as their first language, the primary language of Montreal is French. This beautiful city is built on a mountain. It is the number one city for international events such as Cirque de Soleil. Montreal has many walking tours which bring you around the streets of the town, explaining the history and importance of numerous buildings and sights as you stroll. So why grab a crisp croissant from a local boulangerie and join a walking tour to fully experience Montreal. Or, if you are a lover of nature and exercise, then hiking Mount Royal is a must-do.
